Professor Yannis Manios from Harokopio University of Athens shared his experience with us.

His message to those who will follow the project’s developments is clear: “I think the schools, the Ministry of Education and the health scientists need to focus at the same time on both dimensions: try to create a more supportive social environment for more certain behaviors and health choices during the schools for the pupils, but also create a more supportive physical environment in the school by ensuring that the health options are the only food options in the school canteen and that will ensure and increase chances for more sustainable behaviors in schools.”

He told us about his learning from his experience in the SEEDS project: “Working with adolescents is always a big challenge but also very interesting. I would encourage all scientists working with adolescents to see them and treat them as equals and sure learn from them and exchange experience and follow cooperative procedures in any activities and any projects that doing with adolescents because only in this way you can have more win-win situations, a situation which can actually benefit adolescents themselves but also their families and the school community.”
