THE SEEDS EXPERIENCE ACCORDING TO THE PROTAGONISTS: Interview with Wilma Jansen

Wilma Jansen is from the City of Rotterdam. Her main role in SEEDS was about designing and creating policy recommendations. 

Wilma talked about her experience in SEEDS: “Even though students were relatively young, the participatory approach of SEEDS gave them many good ideas and actions to improve the school environment and make it healthier. The ideas were easy to implement by schools at relatively low cost. Students were empowered and schools felt satisfied. As the City of Rotterdam we have many health challenges among us. As this approach probably is suitable for many more healthy challenges and easy to adopt, we need to share this promising approach with more schools and local governments.”
