Parts of the project
The SEEDS project runs between 2021-2022 and involved lots of planning! We have three main sections of the project, and these are:
- 1. Focus Groups – where teenagers help us shape the scientific questions we will ask
- 2. Makeathons – where teenagers will create experiments to help improve their own health
- 3. Interventions – where teenagers will combine their experiments into one intervention, and carry this out for six months.
The teenager scientists play crucial roles in every part of our project. This is called ‘Extreme Citizen Science’, and is an exciting project for us. It means we and relevant stakeholders in their lives have no idea what the teenagers will create and we also get to collaborate very closely to learn from them.
