The 4th Scientix Conference took place on 18th and 19th of November and Project SEEDS was there. The conference is organised by European Schoolnet which is one of the major science education networking events in Europe. The conference was online and those who had registered had the opportunity to hear Simona Cerrato talk about SEEDS. Her presentation was in the plenary session about STEM projects for teachers and focused on “how to empower teens to manage their health”. The most appropriate way to involve teenagers was the citizen science approach by involving them at every stage of the project. So, adolescents worked with teachers and scientists to improve their lifestyle. And as the project is at its end, what the teenagers enjoyed most was their meeting in Brussels where they exchanged ideas and experiences. It is important to create an environment that inspires teenagers and the people who learn about their work to follow the project’s recommendations and successes.
